28TH COMMENCEMENT EXERCISE

Finally, this is really is it! Today is the day that we’re going to march and called as GRADUATES.

We’re all excited t o get inside the Gymnasium where the ceremonial will be held. Under the heat of the sun, many people are there even we know that only one can join us to get inside. Feel the excitement, most of my classmate’s text each other to know where we are.

I prepare myself early morning, fix and settle all the things that I’ll need. After that, me together with my father arrived in school, it’s fifteen minutes before the call time. There, I saw some of my classmates together with their parents. Saying “hi” and “hello” to each of everyone make us smile. In a few minutes we walk going to enter the Gymnasium. I am accompanied by my father.

In every step that I made, leads me at the finish line of my studying career. When I finally reach and sit, I really feel that I accomplished my four years in college. I know that it’s a quite long ceremony to listen. After the message and speech of the speakers was done, giving the diploma is next. When our college was called, College of Arts and Sciences, we’re all proud and excited. Standing at our place, walking going to the stage give us happiness and sadness at the same time. As our course Bachelor of Arts in Communication is calling I feel so happy, I’m really happy. Then when it’s my turn, calling my name by our Dean sound me that I’m here, reach the tip of my studying of four years course. I feel proud to myself reaching this moment and to be accompanied and watched by my parents at this time. Honestly not only my father was there but also my mother. They watch me while walking along the stage claiming my diploma, which symbolized that, I’ am graduate student.

After all students was called, yes! the ceremony was over. Shouting, smiling, picture taking and chatting are the things that you will notice after the graduation proper. At this moment you will feel the real farewell of the students. After all of this, the four years, the professors, teachers, schoolmates, classmates, and friends this time will lead us to our future no matter this graduation will be a memory, memory that will remain to us.

While taking some photos I can’t imagine that I together with my parents was the third to the last group who step out at Gym and while surrendering the graduation gown I felt that this day, ends. Along walking the corridor of our school courted by my parents makes me feel that I’m walking in the stairs, stairs that many more set of steps to walk…and now I am going to step in the real world.

And of course I share this and have this day because of the people who support and love me as well. I’m so thankful and grateful that I reached this day because of all of you.

As I end another chapter of my life...

Baccalaureate Mass and Recognition 2010

Yes! This is it. This is the start of our graduation proper. First day of our graduation… We conduct this to receive the blessing of our Almighty God. I think twice for this because I know that only few will be there. But I don’t need to think for it. Its part of graduation as a whole, which should I need to attend. And yes I attend this first part today, right decision.

I go in school early morning. Excited is what I feel. Honestly when I arrived, I feel proud that I already accomplished the four years in college. And now is the time that I’m going to say thanks God I reach this part but I thank Him every day. After the thanks giving mass we stay to attend the Recognition 2010. To those who receive recognition, Congratulations!

Practice and Preparation for Graduation

There’s a saying that “Practice makes Perfect”, but not all the time I think.Today we’re having a practice for our graduation. College students have this??? Yes we have of course. Some say “do you have it?” Practice? You’re not elementary or high school anymore. But I can say that even we’re college we need it. There’s nothing wrong to have practice. By this we will know they do and don’ts. In our course we’re just few who attend this practice especially in the afternoon, because some of us attend fiesta. But even if that so we gain information on what’s going on tomorrow and receive the invitation in the afternoon. This day all graduating students will feel the excitement and sadness at the same time, because after a long time in school we reach this.

Claiming of Graduation Gown

Yeah! I once again step in our school. I miss this.

Today is the schedule of the second batch of claiming the graduation gown. I’m sure that all graduating students are excited to have their own. Honestly even me myself.
Early morning, I and my friend go to school. We see some of our classmates falling in line to claim their own. While we’re in the line we talk for awhile, some shout calling the name of some of us. It really shows that they miss each other. This is the time that we see each other again, since some of us have different schedule and activities. But after that, yes! I’m next in line and I will claim mine. And when I already claim mine, I’m so excited to fit it. I feel proud to myself even though I’m not yet in the graduation proper. While some of us continue their chatting. I also have business with some of my classmates.

Saying “hi” and “hello” this day is too short. But that is it. On the other hand of this day, we can’t have a long time to be with each other, especially us, as a whole class. Because some of us have their own things to do. So by this we say “see you soon guys”.042310

KIPING ng Lucban

Kilala ang KIPING sa bayan ng Lucban, lalo na tuwing Pahiyas Festival tuwing Mayo 15. Dito makikita ng mga tao ang mga makukulay at naggagandahang KIPING na nakapayas sa harapan ng tahanang daraanan ng prusisyon at parada.

KIPING ay hugis dahon na nilalagyan ng iba’t ibang kulay. Ito ay gawa sa malagkit (rice paste) at ginagamit bilang dekorasyon sa okasyong ito. Ito ang pangunahing dekorasyon tuwing Pahiyas Festival sa Lucban, Quezon. Ito ang proseso ng paggawa ng KIPING....





pangungulekta ng dahon na magsisilbing hulmahan ng gagawing KIPING tulad ng dahon ng kabal, kape, talisay, kakaw, antipolo at dahon ng saging.Magugulang na dahon ang magandang gamitin sa paggawa nito upang magamit ng tatlo o higit pang beses.




Malagkit (rice paste) na bigas ang ginagamit, ito ay ibinababad ng dalawang oras. Matapos ang dalawang oras ay ipinapagiling ito.





Nilalagyan ng kulay ang nagiling na malagkit upang mas maging kaayaaya.







Matapos makulayan ay inilalagay na ito sa dahon at ikukulob ng ilang minuto.
















Hihintayin nang matuyo ang mga ito at saka maaring tanggalin sa dahon.





Matapos tanggalin ito na ang tinatawag na KIPING pinapatungan ito ng bagay na may katamtamang bigat upang hindi bumaluktot.




Sa tuwing dadaan sa amin ang Pahiyas Festival ay gumagawa kami ng KIPING. Upang ipangdekorasyon sa labas ng bahay. Ang KIPING ay mayroong iba’t ibang hugis at sukat. Maliban sa KIPING, maari ring ipangdekorasyon ang mga, prutas, gulay, palay, paper mache, at mga sumbrelo.



Ang ipinapayas ng mga tao sa harap ng mga tahanan ay ang mga naani nilang mga pananim. At sa pagdaan ng prusisyon ay binabasbasan ng pari ang mga tahananang daraanan nito. Nagkakaroon din ng paligsahan sa pagandahan ng dekorasyon ng bahay at dahil dito ay may mga huradong pipili ng may pinakamagandang pahiyas ng bahay.










Matapos ang Pahiyas Festival, ang KIPING ay maari ng gawing kutkutin at gawing kakanin. Maari itong iihaw o iprito.

I greet her the night before her birthday and smile her on her special day. Without any plan on her day we just spend time together. When father, mother and Janci were in the Jollibee I and Filci followed them there.
[We’re not together when we go in Lucena that’s why we just followed them hehehe…]











We give time to our family all day.

Before this day ends we call our relatives to have dinner together as we celebrate her special day.Palaisdaan Restaurant is the place where we have our dinner.When we arrived and waiting for our relatives...
